Crisp and saline. This screams of summer - the vinous equivalent of a margarita. #sommcon

Almond. Lightly acidic. A softer expression of #Albariño at #SommCon

Decently round but not particularly interesting. Melon and honey suckle with a slight funky taste. Corks have been dried out in two bottles of this.

Fresh fruity, a bit Sauvignon blanc buxus taste. Small vanilla honey. I understand why I made a mistake last Tuesday.

Despite the considerable price hike since 2012/13, to me, this remains one of the best everyday options when it comes to 'vinhos verdes'. The current vintage is as fresh as ever, though perhaps a tiny bit too acidic, especially in comparison with earlier, more flowery, honeyed ones. Great longevity potential for a 'verde', so I'll try again in a couple of years.
