Washington Cabernet Sauvignon

Another great bottle of the 1995 - 66 weeks after the last one.

Took a very long time to open. Heavy oak hides fading fruit and light cranberry mid palate.

Gorgeous! In a real sweet spot now and I'd imagine for the next 10 years. Smells and tastes like there's a lot of cedary Cab Franc there. More right bank Bordeaux than Washington. From a cooler vintage. Has finesse, subtlety, length, balance and complexity.

Twenty years and rockin it. Big Cab flavors.

Time to put the big boy pants on. Reminiscent of a Bordeaux-say an '86 Leoville Las Cases. Very mature cab, not complex but oh so pleasing.

Funky. Leather, Brett, vanilla. Past its prime.

The residual lost a bunch on night two so open with an intent to finish

Great balance on these older QC's--medium weight and fruit, well-integrated tannins, more old world than new in style. That said, likely not getting any better from here--drink up!
