First of the seven blind wines Saturday Night. Deep ruby red with almost garnet on the edges. Tight nose with some spices, vanilla, cinnamon and bold fruits. A lot darker on day two with darker sweet spices and super thick and dark powdered cocoa. On day one this seemed too young with the alcohol not having fully integrated yet. Very powerful and young with sweet and woody tannins (6.5/10). Medium plus bodied with some dark black cherries, vanilla beans, tons of dark chocolate and some coconut. Long finish. Not a ton of fruit on the nose or palate, more reserved and definitely needs some time to integrate and develop further. Drink till 2026.

Deep garnet to ruby red. Interesting nose that started a bit tight with toasted coconut and dark cocoa leading to blackberry liquor as well as pencil shavings. Thick and dark on the palate with moderate tannins (7/10) that carry through the midpalate. Dark gravel, black cherries and tons of dark cocoa on the palate. A touch of spices too. Very dark and brooding palate with a touch of acidity near the finish. Medium plus body with a long finish. If you drink now give a good decant. Drink till 2027.

13yr Wedding Anniversary!!

This rocked. PnP. Lovely dark red color. Refined, rustic, and Bordeaux like nose with cedar and aged cherries. Same on the palate with an awesome texture. Medium depth and medium plus finish. High quality all the way!

Happy Thanksgiving! 1hr+ decant and needed a ton more. Definitely decant this for 3 hours. Wine was dark red with bourbon, alcohol, and cedar on the nose. Over the course of dinner and the next few hours it changed multiple times. It finally finished with a lovely combination of dark cherries, bramble, cedar, and rustic flavors. Medium plus depth and finish. Was awesome!

Dark red and purple color. I got mushrooms on the nose, others didn’t. High quality, refined, and deep. Black and blue fruit with integrated oak and terroir. Medium plus finish. Loved it!

Almost black in color, matching the bramble nose. Roses. I get a little campfire and some vegetal notes. Palette is smooth and silky with nice acid. More energy than most QC. Feels properly right bank at the tail end of primary.

Good. Fruit comes through. Very dark and robust still. Not great. Expected more.

Much, much too young. New oak is very pronounced. The tannins rip your tongue off, even after a couple hours of decant.

Nice Merlot, Cab Sauvignon and Cab Franc blend. Could use another year or two in bottle. Still rather tannic.
