Amazing that this is a 2nd label of sorts. This is always a wonderful experience.

This needs air. The nose smells like wet stones right after opening. 1.5+ hours in the decanter and a spicy, brambley, slightly vegetal nose unlocks. Overall this vintage has less of the chocolate and sex appeal I expected even from CVR. Apparently it was a bad year. This vintage is solid, just dustier and more old world than anticipated.

It's the whole orchestra, with the fruit as first violin. Decent QPR.

Black cherry, hint of coffee and orange peel on the nose. The 15.2% ABV really sticks out when consumed with food.

Smooth, easy to drink, but doesn't blow you away.
