Quilceda Creek
Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Very nice. Thought I detected a bit of cork taint initially but seemed to blow off. Sweet dark berries, chocolate cherries, violets, smoke, spice, very slight secondary notes, high octane but not hot. Not sure if it’ll develop much more

Jul 11th, 2024One hour decant (lots of thick sediment). A mind bending dark purplish garnet color with some bricking. On the nose: mellow notes of baked cherries, cassis, spice, slight menthol, beef, touch of blueberry. Taste: very smooth, balanced full body wine with some black cherry, smoke, licorice, minerals, pepper and a chocolate meaty long finish. Tannins mostly resolved...its what you want from an aged cab...pop em, if you got em!
