Great Malbec. Complex layers of fruit and vanilla. Smooth and elegant. As I find out Pepe Galante is one of the best wine makers in Argentina, and it definitely shows.

Very smooth. Hot and salty nose. This is just on the edge of where I like to be on oak. Usually less, but it’s good.

Color of dark inky hazy purple. Nose of sweet vanilla, sugar plum, ripe grape, cocoa, and earthy salty bacon. Nose is subtle and not distinct. Taste of round sweetness like plums and grapes, cocoa, herby and grassy, silky and chewy. Aftertaste of some plum notes, a touch of graphite, some sage and anise, tobacco leaves, medium tannins and long finish. A bottle of subtlety.
