Prisma
Casablanca Valley Pinot Noir
The wine that was open tonight was tye 2018 Prisma Pinot Noir, from the Casablanca Valley in Chile. This is 100% Pinot Noir from a single vinyard and from three separate clones.
On the nose the wine is heavily reduced with heavy funk and sulpher, strawberry, cinnamon, spice and earth.
On the palate there is good red fruit, cherry, strawberry, raspberry, allspice, herbs and a good dose of oak.
The wine is medium bodied with medium +acidity and medium fine tannins which give you a medium to medium long red fruit earthy finish. This weekend was a beautiful one and I hope everyone had a wonderful one also. Please have a great week and continue to stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷

A bit lean and vegetal, with cranberry, green strawberry and cheddar. Finish is so granitic and salty. Doesn't sound like I'm talking about a wine that I enjoyed, but I am. Just fine, nothing more. Though I bet that pretty label and low price point has landed it in the hands of some shoppers who were thoroughly disappointed by its lack of fruitiness. 😂

Jun 21st, 2020Very unique aromas... some smokey and volcanic soil, and some damp forest floor and mushrooms. Tart cherry and strawberry acid, lingering leather notes. Very good with a coffee-rubbed pork tenderloin, but alone, just not my jam.
