Initially, I wasn't sure if I liked this Primitivo but after a few more sips I'm really enjoying it. Definitely some smoke on it which could be off-putting. Perhaps it's more dried and darker fruit on the nose but on the palate more juicy with cherry and strawberry and a smooth vanilla finish. Its got nice acid and I like how the wine lingers, complementing the long legs in the glass!

A new staple. Easy drinking, good gateway for people who only like cab sav to try something new!

Vacant nose. Strong forward spicy feel with a mellower sweet/earthy back. Smoky after, but fades fast. Good with pasta primavera.
