Raspberry, cocoa powder, earth, rosemary, underripe cherry; light body but hangs on the palate for quite a while. Good acidity. Richer and riper than Burgundy, but restrained and delicious.

A beautiful Santa Maria Pinot from talented winemaker Dieter Cronje. More fruit forward and powerful than the adjacent Sta Rita hills cousins. Smooth, silky, with a long finish, balanced acidity and a touch of smoke on the nose.
