Big red, highly extracted with big jammy, raisinated red and black fruit. Def crowd pleaser..

Highly concentrated and extracted dark ruby. Leather, game, sweet spices, raisins, dried red berries, black currants, and stony minerality coming through on the palate. Elevated acidity, integrated tannins, and body. 65% Touriga Nacional and 35% Touriga Franca.

What a treat! Polished and structure with a dusty but firm tannic spine and a mouthwatering acidity. Nonetheless, it never loses the charms of its Portuguese indigenous varieties - unhinged floral perfumes. Licorice, anise, fennel, white pepper, violet, earl grey, and hibiscus. #sommcon

Boom 💥 what a delish Portuguese wine @ £65 that’s drinking well young but give this 10-15 years and bigbadaboom 😍 One of the best 🇵🇹 wines I’ve ever had 👍 Its like a Bordeaux meets Bolgheri meets Ribera del Duero w/ a dollop of Napa 👀

👃 Chocolate bathed wild ripe bramble bush & blackcurrant goo in earthy soft smoked oak w/ light mineral, smashed pencil, red liquorice, black tea, blueberry, white pepper, purple rose & violets

👄 Full bodied, but well balanced & not overpowering (almost elegant) rich rip very earthy dark boysenberry, blackberry & raspberry fruits w/ a mineral, cocoa & liquorice backbone

🎯 Very long stoney mineral infused (but hardly dry) slight green unripe black berry fruits & raspberry w/ bitter dark chocolate mocha, black tea & liquorice

Jammy and alive like Douro should be, but calmed down with a little time. Dense red and black berry, cassis and kirsch, a touch of leather and wet tobacco and maybe orange pekoe tea.

Did not disappoint. Rich and lush. Went back to this after a 40 year tawny. Lots of cassis and black fruit. T

Drinking well right now--very plummy/spicy in that Douro way.

Rich and distinctive. Bit too rich/ripe for me, but style I can see being widely loved
