Vieilles Vignes Juliénas Gamay
Earth, charcuterie, cranberry and some darker fruits. Opened up even for the second day. A more serious style to the light and fruity stuff I've had previously. Good stuff.

Nov 15th, 2016Nice strawberries, cherries, chalkiness is perfect as is the acidity.

Feb 10th, 2016Candied cherries, strawberries, a bit of licorice with a metallic streak. On the palate, pink bubblegum, white pepper, pencil lead. Soft, well integrated tannins balance with smooth texture. There is finesse and a light body, but I wished for more fruit to balance the lingering metallic quality of the finish and more flesh - it felt a bit thin. Could be rounded out by more tannins and fruit. For the price, it is fun and light!
