For all those people saying this wine is too primary and too fruit-forward, have some patience! This wine loves some time in the bottle. The nose is pure Tuscany, floral with notes of black cherries and dried herbs. The palate is soft and supple, especially with 30 minutes in the decanter. Flavors of black plum and currant lead to secondary flavors notes of cocoa powder, dried herbs, soy, plush, velvety tannins and still very vibrant acidity. The finish shows a touch of earth and black fruit. A wonderful, different Toscana.

Really tight until about 45 mins in, opened up beautifully. Great with Italian dishes (spaghetti squash w/ homemade pasta sauce)
