Sangiovese from the Val d’Orcia hills. Dusty, dried red currants, eucalyptus and mint, licorice and violet, wild strawberries. Aged in Slavonian oaks barrels. Bright acidity and smooth tannins. Paired perfectly with a quick lamb ragu pasta with mint.

Mar 11th, 2015Black cherries, plum, earth, dust, savory herbs, baking spice. mushroom box, old leather, well balanced acidity and fine grippy tannins. In a great place right now but recommend decanting for 1-2 hours and serving with food. Sufficient acid and structure to go another 5-10yrs but no need to wait.
(Still showing well day 2)
