A mix of smoke, crushed stone and peppery herbs evolves to show bright cherries and violets as the 2020 Rosato blossoms in the glass. Its silky textures give way to a pure yet nuanced display of wild berries and spice with pretty rosy florals that form toward the close. This tapers off medium in length to notes of hard red candies and hints of licorice. This is a fun and invigorating Rosato, produced from a blend of Sangiovese and Mammolo. (Eric Guido, Vinous, December 2021)

Wife and I served the rosso at our wedding but never before tried the rosato. Vibrant, juicy red currant and a bit of tomato.
