Nice medium–light Dolcetto with plenty of tannins. Cranberry, dark cherry, wild berries, flinty and graphite. From Flatiron Wines.

Only the most respect for Beppe Colla and what he’s done in Piedmont, so was excited to try this Dolcetto. Certainly nothing wrong with it and perhaps a bit unfair to judge at this point versus in a couple years? Get some red cherries and purple flowers on the nose. But this is not seamless and the tannins sort of poke a bit.

Nice lifted cherry and easy tannin. Not fruit-forward. Great w sausage and pasta.
