Bright, narrow, vibrant. I expect bottle variation will greatly effect this note but this was in a great window. Not much runway left, but and excellent example of the varietal potential.

Lovely fully mature Barolo. The 85s are often on the decline, and this one may not be at peak, but wonderful balance, clear fruit, with a shorter finish than I recall from earlier bottles. 1 of 3 from a very nice dinner last night.

Unfortunately victim of bottle variation, lots of good material but lacking focus. You don’t always get a Christmas miracle.
