Paired with osso buco and it was a perfect combo. Classic feminine grace, beauty and power. Lavender nose, sweet spice box entry and the only thing lowering the numbers is a bit of sharpness on the finish. Still young.

Very tannic and acidic even after a couple of hours of decanting. It needs several hours (about eight) in the decanter to calm down and open up. Earthy and smokey. Dried dark cherries, pomegranate, tar, cedar, leather, and spices. Powerful and dense.

If I remember correctly this year the barolo and the Bussia were the same bottling??? Correct me if that is not true

I’ve had 3 bottles of this. The first was good but mature, the second was va dominated and faded, and this bottle was stunning! One of the prettiest barolos I’ve had in some time, intense and well integrated drinking well now. No signs of fading at all
