Vale de Cavalos Douro Touriga Nacional Blend

A blend of all the local Douro grapes. A little difficult to pin down. Maybe more air will help.

A blend of 4 Portuguese grape varieties with the majority being the full bodied Touriga Nacional. It has an intense and pleasant nose of plum, violet flowers, and hints of coffee beans & black pepper. Full bodied silky pallate with plum, blueberry, & dark chocolate coming through, along with robust but not overpowering tannins. An excellent pairing with marinated flank steak & wild ramp chimichurri! ($12) [4/25/20]

Ugh. Too much everything.

This lovely dark-fruited Douro tinto blend has clean fruit, crisp acid, enough structure to carry it a few more years, and a solid, lingering finish!!

Very balanced- fruit, richness, but not heavy or fruity.

After a long decant, savory elements.

This is basically port which has not yet been turned into port. All the awesome Portuguese red grapes. Yummy. Especially at $15

Nice change up to Portugal

Ce n’est pas un mauvais vin, c’est un vin pas dans ma palette. En fait goute le raisin sec ! Pas pu finir la bouteille.
