Calls of baby Barolo are not that far off the mark as this has notes of rosé petal, sweet tar and bright if smoky cherry fruit followed by a great mix of sweet spice box and grandma's soap. The palate is light bodied but has full on structured tannins that can the front palate and push through some well structured cherry stem and slightly bitter currant fruit, some good smoky spice on the finish.

Cherry liqueur, graphite, crushed roses, dried thyme, cigar box, cedar, sun dried tomatoes. Lively acid/wide smooth-sweet velvet tannins, full bodied, silky-juicy texture, long smoky earthy finish. Wonderful village expression, a testament to a phenomenal vintage. Drinking well now, at its best in a few more years.
