Usually one of my favorite blends from PRV. The nose is a bit muted, but you can still pick up notes of dry earth and strawberry preserves. The juicy blueberry and blackberry fruit is offset with tobacco and sage. The influence of 2011 fruit is obvious and comes on strong, giving off a heavy green pepper component that makes this more vegetal than is typical. Still a solid effort even in a challenging vintage.
