Lovely Sicilian wine for the Sicilian dinner at Lucques. Full bodied and slightly rustic. Just what you would expect. Great match for the food.

Feb 7th, 2016Told by the sommelier at Donna Carmela that this wine just won Best Italian Red from Gambero Rosso a matter of days ago. Small production, pre-phylloxera Nerello Mascalese vines over 100 years old. Etna wine at it's best. Silky smooth chocolate, cherries, violets. So much kick ass here.
