The great MONOPOLE of the estate. Stunning, “why you pay big bucks for Burgundy” type of perfume. Deep and penetrating aromas of black raspberry, violet pastille, stunning deep and clean minerals, hints of game and smoked meats. Floral. Just so so complex. So lifted and layered. Truly truly just a ridiculous nose. Super elite. Palate is immaculate. The finesse is top .001% and the density is crazy allied with that finesse and super impressive pure, deep and vivid fruit. So sappy and stoney. Young obviously as this is the top red at Bouley, but what noble fruit and how it saturates the palate and stays there. So so complex but this wine has so much more to say. I’ll be back. Score will likely go higher.
