Flint and lime. Lemon and punchy. Quite dramatic if a bit sharp

Rather sumptuous for a Chassagne, but no less enjoyable as it wore its richness well. Took a little while but when it came around there was a nice balance of fruit, power, acidity and minerals.

Distinctly PYCM. Whiff of reduction, good volume and strong acidity. Very complete wine all around....

A lovely elegant Chassagne Motnrachet. This 1er Cru is excellent, you get wood structure minerality and acidity that all fall together like a well crafted mosaic. Deep luxurious gold color, nose of butterscotch, loads of minerals, chalk, lemon, grape fruit, hint of tropical fruit, full round smooth creamy body, with lovely supportive acidity. Long superb finish. My score 88, drink 2014-2020.
