Nicely reductive on the nose, ripe apple and fresh citrus, not a la concentrated as the bigger bottlings but plenty of tension and acidity

Pierre-Yves is just one of the best, top to bottom. And this is the bottom. Easily 1er quality.

Drinks well above grade. For an entry level wine, just stunning. Has nectarine notes, good minerality, some tension. Better than 98% of Cal Chards. At $30 a bottle, an excellent value. Does Pierre Yves make any bad wines?

Delicious - great citrus notes. Excellent for what it is - drinks better than a lot of people's village wine
