As far as I can tell, the 1996 Millésime BdB is basically “Les Chétillons” before it was designated such. Perhaps someone can confirm or clarify. Regardless, this was stunning. Light straw in color with persistent mousse (still!). More brioche than the 1995 Krug. Brighter too with a slightly more tropical disposition; passion fruit and lemons with some toasted marshmallow. Fabulous acid. This has decades of life left.

The pale gold NV Pierre Peters Champagne Grand Cru Brut 'Blanc de Blancs' shows unbelievable flavors of tart apple, apricot, bread dough and lemon zest. A nice lingering floral and mineral-laced finish.
