Pretty golden color, subtle nose with some sweet apples. Lots of great yeasty and bready notes on the palette, fresh crushed apples. You say this a lot with champagne, but this bottle was the most pronounced I've tasted. Paired well with fois gras and raw scallop.

A departure from the brioche breadiness of some of the Côte des Blancs' more famous grandes maisons. PG & F also sets itself apart due to the high percentage of old vines at their relatively small estate, in a region suffering from a plethora of young vineyards. Crisp clean refreshing fruit forward. Great expression of Blanc de Blancs perfect at the raw bar
