Just like you would Back in Österreich at some idyllic Heurigen this is a great wine for an outdoor picnic. Great with rich foods like charcuterie or just simple sausages. Bone dry. Some acidity. Great bang for your buck. One of those off the beaten pass kind of wines. Easy drinking. Well balanced. Nothing fancy, but for under $10 you would be hard pressed to find anything with as much integrity as this. Happy to see it at Whole Foods. — 10 years ago

Aged in old oak for 25yrs (bottled in 2012). Opaque black mahogany color. Tar, graphite, smoke, roasted coffee, dark chocolate and FIGS. Extremely concentrated dense and sweet ends really spicy with curry notes and stays there for a while. Great PX — 10 years ago
