Cuvée Unique Non Filtré Côte Rôzier Côte Rôtie Syrah

Dense, lacquered in wood and a bit more forward in its late youth.

Dad sent me to the cellar for "something luscious". This did the trick. #drinkingwithdad

Decanted about 45 min. before we got to it. It was fantastic.

Drinking a little older than I expected. But, drinking really well.

Outta magnum...good but a little modern for my taste...

Pop and pour. This is starting to hit maturity. Absolutlely transporting nose of soft bacon fat, charcoal, herbs, black raspberry, soft florals....just textbook Cote-Rotie, but some stylish vanilla and spice thrown in for good measure. On the palate: fantastic acidity, red raspberry coulis, bacon, strawberry cream. Elegant finish with soft, velvety tannin.

Musty, pungent notes of mushrooms, still some fruit. Drinking well @ 16 years. peppers on front palate, mildly acidic finish, soft tannins

Get down. Get down. I should decant.
