hits the same notes as the 1999, from this lesser year that seems always to outperform; it is lovely. Sweet dark fruit, a little game and Gevrey meatiness, the wine is still young but drinks well. Tannins are resolving, but the wine is still structured and classy. Now where is that roasted duck? Damoy is a very solid though unheralded producer.
