Les Rouges du Dessus Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Stunning, spice, mid season cherry, wonderful. Lacey and transparent and a slight opulence along with melty tannins. Perfection.

Likely a 9.9. Needs 2+ hours then bliss. Pure bliss. I can’t describe it. It’s just perfect

Here we go. The most insane florals ever. Wow. Rose petals beyond. So so fresh. Lipstick like mid season cherry intensity. So focused and on point. A bit shy but what is there is precise and so focused. Wow. The nose keeps opening and opening. Such a great tiny berry fruit intensity. Wow that is genius. Amazing sweetness and the most velvety, silky and ripe tannins. Sweet but not too sweet and what spread across the palate. Gets to every nook and cranny. Unreal depth and purity. One of the most expansive finishes ever. Wow. Tiny berry fruit explosiveness and just the most precise and vivid sweetness. Wow this is supple with the best, most ripe and elegant tannins I’ve ever had in a Brisset wine. What a finish. The acid is incredible.

As this airs it gets so mineral and energetic. Best red of 2020. Genius. What a finish. What tannins. Will be a 10.0 in 6 years or so.

Raspberry spice cake, florals. Violets galore, wow, wow, wow. So so deep. More shy than the 19 Noirots. Superb earth and spice, huge huge florals. Sickness. Just so sick. What a massive mineral component behind all the fruit and flowers. Top note of some sort of very specific flower I cannot place. These is top notch precision. Nose is getting a pastille violets thing. Long finish and really long but closed. The potential is limitless. But Noirots Is a smidge better.

What a nose. Just what a nose. Huge and I mean huge fruit. Soppy red and black cherries, Glorious spice. Minerals that are so pointed and precise. Insane ripeness. Really perfumed like nothing else. Sick sick. The precision and purity is breathtaking. 9.8 on the nose. Palate is ripe and OMG juicy with stunning precision and depth and another almost 86 Mouton fruit soak. Initially this is closed but it is so balanced and so complex even being closed with awesome, ripe and juicy tannins that accentuate the juicy and tangy red and black cherries. Balanced with so much energy, concentration and complexity, while remaining elegant, tense and deep. Compared to the 17 this will need 5-6 years as it is showing structure and only maybe 25% of itself but is so promising.

After 30 minutes 9.6 to 9.7. Wow. Silky structure now and velvety tannins and sick violets. Wow.

Gorgeous nose. Mid season cherries, spice, mineral. Just opened and this needs at least an hour. Having it with dinner in a few hours. Palate is super. Lacey and so well in it with terrific finesse. Terrific inner mouth aromas. Complex and ethereal. Light as a feather but very substantial and builds spectacularly on the finish. Which is super long and flowing with cherries and minerals. Coats the palate. Brilliant and ephemeral. Will fill out over next two hours and get sweeter and more complex. Tannins are so refined. It’s almost like hi end Champagne. Stunning. My score will go up.

Bright cherry lipstick on the nose. Piercing. As it opens lilacs and violets.

Palate is super clean cherry fruit. Incredibly bright. Mineral. Perfect balance. So juicy. Amazing texture. Lights the palate up a bit like a spice but it’s not spicy. Almost like a mini mouth orgasm. Fruit on this is astonishingly fresh. So bright. Very taut. Not a hair out of place. Nothing extraneous. Almost sweet the fruit is so good.

Nose dies after a minute bc this bottle is mildly corked. Ugh. So I can’t rate this.
