Pierre Brisset
Cuvée Gabrius Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2022 Cuvée Gabrius pours a ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red and black fruit: blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, some pomegranate, green herbs, fine warm spices, and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes in my nose. The finish is medium and full of character. This is so pretty. I’m looking forward to tracking this over the next 10-15 years. Drink now through 2037. Thanks for the assist @Lyle Fass

There is an increasing case that the 22’s are even better than I thought out of barrel. This is insane.
Outrageous confectionery nose of red cherry fruit and cherry flower. The confectionary quality is the most kinked out I have ever had from this cuvée. Stunning. Gorgeous mineral backbone as well and so stunningly aromatic. Palate is remarkable with unreal confectionary fruit and gorgeous supple tannins and pitter patter minerality. True finesse on the mid palate and lovely mid palate amplitude. Super fresh and that tart/sweet and ripe fruit on the palate is glorious. Such an amazing finish as it becomes part of your mouth.

Nose: sensual. Mid season cherry fruits. As it opens awesome lilacs.
Palate: delicious fresh cherries. Just enough acidity. Luscious. Silky texture. Utterly delicious. Great palate vibrancy.
Man. This is sooooo much better than a normal Bourgogne rouge.

Quite enjoyable even in its early evolution. Refined cherry red and a bit of black fruit, some nice mineral and earth, very seamless but present tannins, excellent acid on the finish. Aromatically a 9.3 or higher and the palate will hopefully reveal more with time. Will be a fun one to track over the years!
