Just a phenomenal nose. Wow. Perfect, and so deep. 4D cherries. Black, red, perfect cherries. So deep. Endless cherries. High toned and dark at the same time. Totally amazing. Wow. This is genius. Haunting earth and stoniness. This nose is a 10.0. Just insane. Totally mindblowing. The detail and depth is unreal. Best nose of the 2020 Brissets. The nose smells like GC Vosne-Romanee. Such a special site. Juicy and so dense but bright as well. So sweet and fresh. This just has a tiny berry juicy explosiveness. Sappy and pure and such lift. Finishes so mineral. Wow that opulence in the midpalate leads to unreal juicy fruit on the finish that is so bright, energetic and lifted. Stunning length. The detailed black and red cherry fruit that is blended with the perfect level of opulence. Longest of all the 2020 Brisset reds. Wow. A profound wine of total genius. I am floored. The tannins are so fine, so well knit. so velvet. This will be a 10.0 with age.

Jun 24th, 2022Showing so well. Just ridiculous. Nose is dark cherries. Some cocoa. Leather. Spice. Serious saddle leather. Mineral and so so aromatic. Palate is so brilliant. Red fruited. Lacey. It’s got and exquisite sweetness to the fruit and an energy to the finish that never stops pumping. Just amazing.

Apr 21st, 2022What a nose. Huge minerals, floral, iodine, red fruits, floral like crazy. Raspberry spice cake, birthday cake, sick. Nose is 9.8. Mineral, iodine, unreal sweet fruit and decadence, but washed with minerals. Insane citrine and soil tones. So precise. Better than 2018 by a mile. The nose is complex beyond belief. Amazing energy and sweetness.

Apr 23rd, 2021Just yowza. What a nose. Nearly a religious experience. Just gorgeous and intense cherry fruit. Perfectly ripe. So round and precise. Layered and nuanced. Amazingly complimentary minerality. Floral. So so high toned and bright. Some dark cherries after air. Palate is so so juicy and elegant and yes this is still accessible 9 months later. Maybe a bit more closed but nothing inaccessible like his other 18 red 1er Crus. So sappy. So sweetly fruited and amazingly pure and precise. No hard edges at all. Not even a bit. So so well made. Insane inner mouth aromas and decadent sweet fruit. Amazing concentration. Amazing clarity. So so pure. Tiny berry fruit intensity. As this airs the nose just gets dizzying. Impossible complexity. Balance is exquisite and the tannins are just perfect. So ripe and sweet. Stunning.

Dec 29th, 2020Lovely high toned nose, red cherry, spicecake, confectionary high toned, raspberry cake, raspberry coulis. So aromatic, wood shop shavings. Palate is lush and acidic but superbly elegant. There are tannins but not a wall. Elegant and playful. Concentrated and so juicy. Superbly red fruited. Complex and lithe. Dense, concentrated and so balanced. Truly brilliant.

Wow. Such a well made wine.
Nose is cherry juice. So clean. An hour in cherry flower perfume. A hint of licorice flower perfume.
Palate is laser like cherry juice.
Needs a 2 hour decant just to get a sense.

Palate is elegant cherry liquor on open.
Very Intense finish. Cherry liquor.
Needs major air on open. Dense but right. Will check back.
As this opens you get this velvety texture. Some plums on the palate. Very fresh and vibrant.
On day 2 much better. Nose is psychotic perfume. Palate is deep cherry. Cherry spice. Very good density. Almost a sweet spice. Delicious. This will be a monster in 3-4 years. Elite level burgundy density with great aromatics. Terrific brisset precision.
