This is juuust opening to reveal all the dark red fruit within. A lovely minerality and a bit of spice complement the fruit for a pretty great Gigondas. It's really well structured at 5 years old and I could see it lasting another 5 easy. Good stuff.

Expressive red berry and floral scents are enriched by allspice and succulent herbs. Sweet and focused on the palate, intense raspberry and cherry flavors and a hint of spicecake. Fleshes out with air and closes smooth and long, with subtle tannins folding into the wine's juicy fruit. (JR)
