Trying to increase my limited Italian experience and this was worth it. Smooth, mild tannins, and more earth qualities that made me enjoy this simply as a sipping wine. Have a few more bottles of this and will see how it ages.

Nose of black cherry, tree bark, oregano. Nice cherry fruit on the palate. Good acidity and tannin. A simple wine, but tasty and balanced. Would be good with bbq as far as I can tell.
