Nice golden colour. Nose muted at the beginning with some shy pear, a whiff of shortbread, grated lemon peel. Very clear & pure.
On the palate this shows a lovely creamy mouthfeel with super fine froth, the acidity (non dosé) keeping the wine fresh and lively. I love the structure & the vibrancy paired with the creaminess. There’s not much fruit here, a hint of yellow pear & yellow plum, but a solid mineral backbone.
This is much better from a large glass vs a flute and works really well with food.
Much more a proper wine vs just a bubbly. Complex & quite serious.
