Philippe Pacalet
Les Perrières Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Beaune, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France
Would never have guessed pacalet or 2009. Really good.

2011 and one 12 Pacalet lineup. The wines overall are very unique, but the high degree of carbonic influence on some (like this one) masks some of the site and vintage expression, which is fine for $25 wine, but at $90 a bottle, I'm not totally sold. Cool juice for sure though! The 1er cru was actually my least mave, just seemed a little more anemic than the rest, but still tasty and wel made.

This has an austerity to the character that burrows the fruit down, there is extract and spice and structure. 2010
