Cidre à l'ouverture, carafé : belle matière charnue, portée par une longue colonne acide. Très joli !

Surprisingly pure, clear white, a delicious drop, despite a slight microbial finish. 2011

Philippe Bornard Melon le Rouge-queue. My favorite of the Bornard tasting. I'd love to see more from this grape.

Cleaner than last bottle I've had which v.a levels were through the roof. Interesting texture and fruit profile.

This is the wine that changed my entire perspective of wine, I believe that was the 2008 but extremely pleased to revisit it in its 2012 form. Melon que rouge may be close to Chardonnay but it certainly shares some Savagnin characteristics as well, Bornard's even reminds me of Chenin particularly with a few years of bottle age that this one has. Impeccable, crystal clear fruit, luxurious texture, acid is minimal but perfectly in harmony. Long finish. Out of this world.

Oh the sherry nose. I can smell this wine and not drink it and be happy. The oxidation just makes it a delightful experience. Smooth drink with less acid then I would normally like but delicious none the less

The other melon was better. A bit too much (new?) oak, vanilla, coconut water. Still well made in the end.
