Pheasant's Tears
Rkatsiteli
This is the Tibaani bottling.
On the nose there’s a wonderfully complex mix of treacle tart, apricot pastry, sticky toffee pudding, Manuka honey, warm terracotta pot, flapjack, gingerbread, yellow raisins and toasted almonds.
The palate shows spicy apricot, turmeric and gingerbread character, the tannins are sapid, firm but chalky and quite fine, certainly a wine that works best with food.
(Worked all with a chicken curry).

Strong carmelized orange peel, burnt caramel, ginger, butterscotch and something vegetal on the nose. White flowers. Mellow acid, prickly tannins and apricot kernel. Sumptuous texture; really nice experience all around.

Mar 15th, 2020Solid Qvevri style, not as much acidity as I'd like though.

Aug 11th, 2022Never in my life have I encountered a beverage like this. This is truly like liquid stone and stone fruit skin in the absolute craziest way. I don’t really know what to do with it but I will be back for more if for none other than shear interest. Not a quaffing wine and by no means is this fun, this is the most serious wine I have ever encountered. Not sloppy and not flawed. Georgian shamanism at its most psychedelic.

Dec 3rd, 2017Tastes like an elote no cheese. Hot buttered summer corn with a squeeze of lime. A fun alternative for your aunt that loves Chardonnay and sav blanc but bright enough to drink in the Central Park with your friends on a late summer day sun setting on a school night.
