From mag. dark plum. Garrigue, sweet middle and long. Very pretty.

Only 4 years older than the 82 Mouton but much more evolved (probably due the Merlot). Absolutely hedonistic if you love the really evolved non-fruit flavors of old Bordeaux. Saddle leather, mouthwatering soft older cherry fruit. Would happily drink again but seems doubtful. I’ve had this bottle for quite some time.

The 2010 Petrus has an extraordinary bouquet, ineffably complex with brambly red fruit, sous-bois, dried blood and wild mint aromas that unfurl magically from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy and generous, yet amazingly controlled with such tension and grace on the silky smooth finish. This is a fantastic Petrus, one of the greatest in recent years. Tasted from an ex-château bottle at the BI Wines & Spirits 10-Year On tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, April 2020)

Tasted blind. Dark, old tawny color. Notes of black cherries, raspberries, smoke, cassis, light menthol, truffles, caramel, cola and old dark wood. Huge in the mouth. Very tasty. This was the real deal. Three old Pomerols.... Thanks Stan!

An extraordinary nose at outset. Delicate faded cherry and roses with spice, earl grey tea and a haunting clarity. On the palate limpid and balanced and long. Exquisite- very gentle and nuanced

Stunning but not quite as captivating as the Lafleur. A champion of a vintage for Petrus. 96-98pts
