Full bodied, slight spice, little vanilla and held up very well to the spiced ginger garnish and ahi tuna app this evening.

Well made wine. Enjoyable full bodied Syrah without the spice I like from this grape. Much better on the second day with no vacuuming. Petroni wines seem to be very tight at first open. 8.75 on first night, 8.9 on second night.

2008 Syrah. Rated 8.3 on opening; a little fruit, a little toasty wood rescued dark dark inky unappealing base. Tasted again next day after overnight vacuum; bitter, spitter. Not oxidized just no joy.
