Petra
EBO Toscana Super Tuscan Blend
One of the entry wines of Petra, Cab. Sauv. + Merlot + Sangiovese. Not exactly velvet at taste, despite the nice nice of red fruits.

Jun 29th, 2023Rustic and funky. One of my favorite Petras for the price. Black bramble fruit, charred meat, graphite, green peppercorn, white sage. This would be outstanding with roasted wild boar.

Sep 10th, 2016From a wonderful winery in Val di Cornia (designed by Botta) comes this interesting blend. Rich ruby red. Parfumes of red and black berries with herbal hints. Medium tannins, good body, vivid but not invasive acidity (it's still young) and a spark of sweetness. CS and Sangiovese are rounded by Merlot in an almost good balance. A bit weak with savory food. Really good q/p ratio.
