Happy Mother’s Day to me! We decided to open this Champagne Petit & Bajan, Grand Cru “Ambrosie” which we bought through our Emperor Club monthly champagne subscription. We enjoyed it with freshly baked scones (thank you Mr Spittoon) with jam and cream 😋
I have to admit the deep purple label really catched my eye. Plus on closer inspection of the bottle it has a twisted effect to the neck of it which is kinda cool.
In the glass it’s a sandy yellow shade. Crisp citrus, fresh grapes and hints of passionfruit and tropical fruits come through on the nose. It’s zesty, tangy and refreshing on the palate. It was yummy but not one I’d rush out to buy again.
