High altitude single vineyard Rhône blend. 2012 vintage. Whereas the 2011 seemed to suffer a bit from the difficult vintage, this 2012 has great balance. Dark berries and rosemary. Spicy taste with very fresh acidity and good length.

Aug 23rd, 2017Single vineyard (Fore Family vineyard on Cobb Mountain at 3000 feet elevation).Rhone blend (60% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre).Brilliant dark ruby, medium depth. Very fresh nose with raspberry, flowers and Provencal herbs. Medium-bodied, the fruit is very pure, but not very dense (the difficult year is showing probably). The lively acidity makes this very easy to drink, even if the tannic structure tends to slightly overwhelm the fruit, especially in the finish, that is also a bit short. Would love to taste this in a better vintage. 2011 vintage, 14,6% abv., 25,60 euro.

Oct 2nd, 2016We drink allot of Francis but this is the first of this blend. Color is really spectacular and hints of oak on the nose and palate. Some pepper on the finish which is quick. It's a drinker
