Dark Inky in color with a short reddish rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, blueberries, light cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, eucalyptus, Mediterranean spices, chocolates, mocha, cola and black pepper.

Full-bodied, bold, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, cola, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, light earth, coffee, peppercorn and light mint.

Long long finish with fine grained tannins and chocolates.

This is a fabulous Bordeaux blend from Napa valley. Rich and extracted yet graceful.

Nicely balanced with lots of black fruits and chocolate notes.

Drinking beautifully now as a 4-year-old, but still so very young, and will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years and beyond.

Showing a soft and opulent mouthfeel. Spicy and buttery.

Good right out of the bottle, but much better once it opens up. Started opening up after 2 hours in the decanter, but kept on changing from there.

Another gorgeous wine from Russell Bevan. A great wine to have all by itself. No food needed.

A blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc. A small production of only 8 barrels made.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

96 points.

It’s time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here's a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend.

Full bodied with medium acidity and elegant.

Dry and very fruity on the palate.

Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, cola, light herbs, Mediterranean spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco, graphite and light dark coffee.

This is a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Elegant, thick and fruit forward.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.

Showing great complexity, although still young, and drinking very nicely right out of the bottle.

This 2016 was a great vintage and it is definitely showing. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Soft and smooth. Rich and extracted. Delicious . I just love these Napa Bordeaux blends.

I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses, and will also pair nicely with a nice piece of steak.

A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 15% Merlot. Made by Russell Bevan.

15.2% alcohol by volume.

PerUs Wine Company Proprietary Red Wine Alessio 2016, Napa Valley, California

To celebrate 15,000 followers on Vivino, i had to open something special.

Inky in color with a short reddish rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, black plums, cedar, light earth, licorice, vanilla, eucalyptus, chocolates, alcohol, herbs, coffee, spices and black pepper.

Full bodied, bold and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and extremely fruity with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, figs, raisins, vanilla, cedar, cola, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, spices, alcohol, peppercorn and coffee.

Long finished with fine grained tannins and cherries.

This is just too delicious. What a great red from Napa Valley. An excellent Bordeaux blend.

Rich, dense, opulent, spicy, bold and elegant. Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel. Powerful and not for the timid.

Loved the nose and smelled on it for a while.

Although this is so tasty now, it is a sin to open it this young, as it has so much more potential. Will age nicely in the next 5 to 15 years.

The only other wine that I gave such a high score, at this young age, was the Penfolds Grange. I would love to try the two together at the same time. That would be very interesting.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. I gave it 6 hours in a decanter, and checked it periodically. Tannins come in after 6 hours, so be patient.

Good by itself or with food. A fabulous wine to share with friends and talk about.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

15.2% alcohol by volume.
