This 2012 Pertimali is showing a lot better then La Squadra Azzura tonight.
Loads of chocolate and dark ripe fruit. What a pure joy to drink!! Luckily we go into overtime so time for another glass!

Honestly, I think it was a little over the hill (2012 —opened in 2019), so maybe it’s user error. It doesn’t taste very much like a brunello. It’s a little tangy. It’s a fine wine, but I’m not sure it’s worth $64.

Nice dark garnet color - dark ripe cherries, blackberries & plums. A little earthy funk going on. Drinks nicely and gets better with decant. Worth stocking up on at this price point - $77 on 1/23/18

Great Wines of Italy SFO. The official 2019 guidebook online at www.jamessuckling.com/event/great-wines-italy-usa-2019-guidebook . Not rating since I’m using one glass and most of these wines were only open for a little bit before tasting. Super fun night. Needs more time.
