Maybe I should psyche myself into thinking that any wine likely past its prime will be unbearably unpalatable. My expectation was this would be completely dead, and had I gone off the first whiff alone then I would have been right on, but I would have missed something amazing. This rallied for about 20 minutes, emerging from the sherry to gave it one last dance of lemon and bergamot tea, marzipan, and apple brioche. What a fascinating glimpse at a wine.

Apr 21st, 2018Completely oxidized. Deep amber color, no bubbles, nutty flavors similar to a sherry.

Oct 4th, 2020Champs from my birth year. LOL apricot nose. Ever evolving in the glass. Almond and honey. A bit oxidized. As with all things French, I’m a major fan. Served with chips, caviar and creme fresh. Cheers to a shitty Monday
