Been wanting to try Pinot Noir from Central Otago for a while, & this does not disappoint! Strong Minerality, Red Cherry, Blackberry, Cranberry, Smoke, Burnt Espresso, Tobacco, Clove... extremely layered, complex & smooth I could go on & onπŸ‘. Also Certified Organic winery that helps fund conservation projects for local NZ endangered birds (thus the one on the label) At $23 from Chelsae Wine Vault it is an unbelievably great value too. Loveeeeee 🍷🍷🍷

Wine in appearance was a light ruby. On the nose, there was a medium intensity of cherry and vanilla, but other scents seemed to be muddled in. On the palate, there was medium tannins, but harsh in structure. The body was medium, the acidity medium, the finish was very short. There was a lot of herbaceous and green flavors signifying a possible early harvest. The balance was lacking, the length was short, and there was some features that were distinguishable. but It left much more to desire. Overall an acceptable wine.

Good density of red fruits/black cherries. Earthiness, spice, and cedar. Some tertiary notes starting to show - fruit leather and tobacco. Bright acidity and medium structure. Enjoyed outside on a beautiful 65+ degree night in Asheville!

Reminiscing and missing NZ! Silky smooth and savory, full of cherry, raspberry, licorice, cranberry and brown spice.

A lot riper than I expected. It was a little more aggressive than I had hoped for my chicken, but complimented steak well. Second day opened up much better. Great floral quality to complement the ripeness.
