From Polar’s Old Australian Tasting. This 89 St Henri was WOTN for me. Drinking beautifully from a lesser year. Fragrant perfumed nose and fleshy balanced palate of savoury berry and raspberry. No new oak influence as is the way with St Henri. Back decades ago St Henri was priced the same as Grange. On this showing made with the same longevity. Brilliant!

A rich, fullsome claret with great depth and still young fruit for a 30+ year old wine lovely hints of eucalyptus and mint on a deep core of black currents
