What can you say about a penfolds. As I have said before. Not a big chard fan. But the Aussie version isn’t bad. Good structure still for a 2006. Even some minerality. Homemade andouille sausage with potatoes and garden peppers went well

Interesting blend, in blind tasting it was looks like Riesling because of its gasoline aromas.
A lot of yellow fruits, lime are also in the aroma.
Medium + acidity and medium + alcohol.
Wine has a potential, may be 2 years

Found a deal on this 2006. Great heavy straw color. I love my whites to have darker full bodied textures. Pineapple on the nose. Not a heavy buttery texture. Laced with tart crab apple. Just a hint of oak woodines. Lingered full dry with honey in the background. Good white for my palette.
