Penfolds
Bin 138 Barossa Shiraz Blend

Another bottle from my wine stash in NZ and it definitely was itching at the cap to be opened.
This 2008 Shiraz, Mourvèdre & Grenache blend from Penfolds in the Barossa Valley is a deep crimson red shade on the eye. Aromas of black plums, French oak, liquorice and new leather books rise from the glass. Sweet cherry fruit flavours seduce the palate alongside a soft and silky mouthfeel. Supple tannins and a vanilla infused finish can't help but leave you with a smile on your face. I really enjoyed the balance of sweet fruits and the savouriness of this tipple not to mention an excellent accompaniment to a T-bone steak!
